Tree of Codes - Jonathan Safran Foer The Tree of Codes book, created by London designers Visual Editions, explores the last day of a character’s life through an intense and disorientating story. Parts of the book ‘The Street of Crocodiles’ by Polish writer Bruno Schulz have been cut out and spliced together by Foer, and viewers are asked to interact with literature in a whole new way as different words across the pages become interlinked and reused. As a piece of editorial design, this project is somewhat groundbreaking; Visual Editions have taken the limitations of conventional book making and evaluated them, creating something that has not been seen before.
