Happy New Year!! It’s been a wild one, hasn’t it? Here’s some Mentor AU to round off the old year and welcome in the new!The beginning of 2020 marked Marinette and Bridgette’s first meeting, after Fu left Mari with the Miracle Box and she needed some proper guidance! Since then Mari has narrowly avoided Chat and Felix in the apartment; Chat’s just been hanging out; and both kids caused a ruckus in New York (which put Bri and Felix back in contact with some old friends, but gave them a VERY rude awakening)!Now it’s rolled over into 2021 (or whatever new year this is in-universe), and Mari’s becoming a little more comfortable relying on others. After the mess in NYC - and getting bailed out by the grownups - she’s realising that trying to handle everything herself so obsessively might not be the best solution after all!Mari’s still not ready to share her identity with anyone besides Bri, or hang out with the older mentors the way Chat Noir does, but maybe this is the year her faith in others will start blossoming again!
