Fashion is always ready to collaborate with charities and projects trying to make the world a better
Fashion is always ready to collaborate with charities and projects trying to make the world a better place. And this time Save the Children found in fashion its perfect collaborator. As every year, Save the Children organises the Jumper Day (this year on December 12) and to prepare for the occasion the charity has teamed up with Wool and the Gang (which manufactures knitwear) and some big names of fashion to create a capsule collection of 30 jumpers. Each piece was customised by a designer/brand: among others, Jonathan Saunders, David Koma, Sibling, Pringle of Scotland, Mary Katrantzou and some young designers from London College of Fashion. In the photos you can find the six looks I chose as my favourites. I particularly liked the oned with knit insertions, I think they are extremely cheerful with all the colours and the three-dimensional quality of some of them make them really cool and up-to-date - and when you can be cool and help a charity as well there’s nothing better than that: 100% of the profits will go to save the children. Unfortunately I still don’t know which designer created which look - so I can’t tell you who designed the looks I chose. But the important thing to know is that if you want one of these amazing pieces (priced £99 each) you can have it going to atterleyroad.com from December 3rd to December 10th and have it online. Don’t forget to wear this sweater of your favourite cheerful jumper on December 12th for the Jumper Day. I’m probably going to wear the amazing jumper with Christmas cake on it that I bought last year at Debenham’s in London. Do your bit with a knit! xxx -- source link
