Mason had a long and diverse career, which began in 1927 when she was just 17 years old. She performed for troops during World War II, before getting her big break in the series Talking To A Stranger alongside Dame Judy Dench in 1966. A talented Shakespearean actress, Mason was also the former artistic director of Repertory Theater in Bangor, Northern Ireland.She continued acting until 2012, making her one of the longest-serving actresses in history.
