Grammatica hodierna – possum, posse, potuī, –––, “to be able&r
Grammatica hodierna – possum, posse, potuī, –––, “to be able”Here are the charts for the irregular verb possum, posse, potuī –––. If you have the “to be” verb [sum, esse, fuī, (futurum)] memorized, memorizing these verb forms will be easier. For some of these forms, to make “to be” into “to be able,” just add pos- or pot- onto the to be forms (sit + pos- = possit, etc.). (Yes, my students loved saying “to be able, just add pot!” I do not endorse this, but it is a useful mnemonic device, I guess.)Vīs sit tēcum et bonam fortūnam! -- source link
