The Chernobyl Saviour (Чорнобильський Спас) Icon.The souls of the survivors of the Chernobyl tragedy are portrayed on the right, while the souls of the deceased victims are on the left.At the centre of the image is a “star of wormwood” falling from the sky against the backdrop of the ominous glow of the explosion.In the bottom centre is a tree which, because of its natural shape, was used by the Germans to hang opposition forces during the Second-World War.
