Over the past three days, the downpour has burst river banks, created mudslides, collapsed bridges, closed roads and forced school suspensions in swaths of the west and north of Peru.THE NUMBERSThe death toll since the beginning of the year hit 72. 62,642 victims.170 injured and counting.11 people missing and counting.115,748 houses affected, which 7,974 of them have colapse and 7,925 are unhinhabitable.HOW CAN YOU HELP?There are shortages of food, water, and summer clothing, so many people have lost so much.
