thegreymoon:sircolinmorgan:So, you’ve got voiders on the arms, the hauberk goes over you chest..Cuties I’m disappointed we rarely got to see the smith side of Gwen, she remained so stereotypically feminine for the entire show. Off the top of my head, the only time I remember it coming up again was when she was better at lighting a fire than Arthur? I loved the fact that she knew so much about weapons and armour, and her internal conflict and insecurity about what that meant about her as a woman was so interesting to me! Also, she was the one to give Excalibur to Merlin and I wish the significance of that had been explored more. I bet she knew (and could make) so many interesting things and they just dropped it to make her the typical nurturing caregiver and maid. Even as a Queen, we didn’t get to see her do much except eternally wait for Arthur and look pretty, and there was so much potential there, because she was so resourceful and clever.Today on our Gwen deserved better segment -- source link
