Happy First of Halloween! …Or September 1st to everyone else! Though, maybe not quite yet to this little mandrake root baby I made. He looks like he may need to hibernate for a little while longer, or else.. I made this little fella from polymer clay and a bit of acrylic paint. He’s a fully functional planter with a hole in the bottom for proper drainage. I thought a snake plant would suit him and add some height! I’ve wanted to make my own mandrake root since I saw Pan’s Labyrinth many years ago. My plan for this make was for this little dude to have that sleepy, pouty, grumpy “don’t wake the baby” look. I described my concept in my IG stories as “I want him to look like Hans Moleman sounds.” I think I nailed it! Check out my “crafting” highlight for some peeks at the process of making my mandrake!
