I like the name a lot, but I’ve always felt like if I ever had a son, and named him Ferdinand, that he would grow up and resent me for it. I think that the name would fit me pretty decent, but it would be silly to change my name from Richard to Ferdinand, and still have a colonial type of name after changing my name… just a little rant… -- source link
