The very first set I made at @clayhands came out of the kiln this week: pinch pots inspired by the sun, moon and stars. ✨ I wanted to make some things I needed for my desk: a water bowl, bowl for pencil shavings and a pot for my brushes. They’re wonky, messy and chipped but it’s what they represent that matters more to me: explorations into the unknown, making mistakes, taking the time to play, and really just how refreshing it’s been to try something different to the miniature paintings I’ve been doing for 5 years straight. I’m definitely not going to become a ceramicist now, don’t worry - I’ll leave that to the pro’s (@munnike + @floriangadsby + @christogiles + @almedapottery I’m looking at you!) - for now I’m just really enjoying this weekly opportunity to mess around.
