Basically, Neopets was sold to Jumpstart (an “edutainment” company). That’s all well and good, except for the fact that Jumpstart fired every single one of the admins and moderators (for many of whom it was a paying job, btw) without any prior warning; they thought that their word filter could take care of everything.That wasn’t the case.Neopets now consists of nothing but shitposting. And this isn’t a 4chan raid; these are longtime members who are sick and tired of the way they’ve been treated over the years and angry about what happened to their staff. People who have been members since fucking 2004 are now perfectly happy with throwing their accounts away if it means they can shitpost and run rampant for a while.
