recycledmoviecostumes:This doublet is a great example of how high definition television has greatly impacted the details of what we see. Makeup artists, set designers and costume designers all have to be even more focused on the small details than before, because everything will be seen in detail. This costume was first worn by Benedick Blythe as Phoebus in the 1997 made for television production of The Hunchback. It’s a well made and good looking costume - but the fine details are not nearly as apparent as they are in later productions. In 2006 it was seen again on Hans Matheson as Robert Devereux, the Earl of Essex in The Virgin Queen, and in 2009 it appeared in the third season of The Tudors on Henry Cavill as Charles Brandon. In 2016 it was worn by Timothy Omundson as King Richard in Galavant. It was seen most recently in 2021 on Jedidiah Goodacre as Beckett Rush in Finding You.Costume Credit: Anonymous, Katie S., Lucia, OttoriverE-mail Submissions: submissions@recycledmoviecostumes.comFollow: Website | Twitter | Facebook | Pinterest | Instagram -- source link
