glumshoe:Isn’t spoon theory a chronic illness thing?As I understand it, it can be used by anyone, it’s fundamentally a mental health concept. My mom began using it as a teen in relation to a chronic illness she had, but then adapted it to help my family (most of whom have Asperger’s) express our own diminishing abilities to cope with situations. As a small child, I tended to have meltdowns relating to sensory overload and that’s how I was able to communicate it. -- source link
