lightsintheskye:pi-thia:I have a minute here to collect my thoughts while I wait for help with this assignment, so…Sometimes I scribble furiously about the Downfall Timeline ending of Ocarina of Time. And what life was like for that particular Zelda. She went through a lot of unhappy times between losing her home and family at around age ten, having to spend seven years in hiding, dealing with the fact that she felt responsible for all of the bad times that befell Hyrule, and for accidentally stealing Link’s childhood, and then potentially having to watch him die in battle. Or at the very least, get the snot beat out of him to the degree where he can’t fight any longer. And she loses the Triforce of Wisdom as well; canonically, Ganondorf takes it from her after defeating Link. And canonically, after all this, she STILL manages to rally the Sages and seal Ganon and the Triforce away in the Dark World. She must have been as tough as nails. But can you imagine what life must have been like after that? Rebuilding the kingdom with all of that guilt on her shoulders, and without her Triforce piece to back her up… how was that? What was that like for her? Hyrule tends to depend on a hero rather than an army. With Link potentially dead, would she have stepped up? I like to think so.And that’s what I scribble about. So! Here is a ref sketch of brainconcept for a post-Downfall TimeZel, trying to fill the roles of both Hero and Princess all at once, commissioned from lightsintheskye. You all know Naomi, right? She‘s awesome.I have never pictured colors for any of the getup, excepting the headband. The headband is always green. But yeah! Awesome art is awesome. Naomi is awesome. I love.pi-thia is awesome, I was honored to be able to draw this :v -- source link
