thetbrpile:So, after recently re-watching the old Disney film adaptation of T H White’s The Sword in the Stone I dug out my musty dusty old copy which I don’t think I’ve read since I was little. (8 or 9 or 10… who knows?). I thought it would be interesting to compare the book to the film. So far, only one chapter in, the book is better. The story is essentially told from Wart’s (Arthur’s) point of view which makes much more sense and you get a better sense of his character. Much better.Anyway, turning over to the back I see the price of books has changed drastically since this copy was issued. Prices marked at:U.K. 30p Canada $1.25 Australia 95c New Zealand 95c South Africa 75cI don’t think you can buy anything for 30p nowadays…. well.. certainly not books. -- source link
