Rumi the naughty kitten - late 2012Rumi here is lounging on the biofilter that we used to have for the aquarium, and the Pothos (the heart-shaped leaves) and Monstera deliciousa (the larger leaves above) you see here were actually planted in it. The plants don’t appreciate what he’s doing. We don’t tend to find that our cats eat a lot of plants, and they definitely don’t eat poisonous plants, but they really like lounging on plants. If they can climb some place up high to lounge on the plants, even better. It’s a huge reason why we don’t grow wheatgrass, despite my overwhelming love for raw wheatgrass juice, it’s just been impossible to set something up where the cats don’t get into it and turn it into a kitty luxury bed. Two things you don’t want in your raw wheatgrass juice is cat hair and cat dander! The plants managed to survive Rumi’s continual abuse, the Monstera is still in the aquarium (and doing fabulously!), the Pothos is in a neglected container. -- source link
