Turns out it was a bit hard to find, actually, and that’s because it’s no longer called the Ogo, it’s called the Omeo. They are pretty advanced as a product now, in terms of accessories, color options, etc (they have an off road conversion kit and stuff!). They are kind of expensive, tho not necessarily when compared to other wheel chairs, which cost anywhere from a couple hundred bucks for a shitty one, to like 4k for a high end electric one. An Omeo will cost you just under 2k.Here is their website, if you want to learn more: https://omeotechnology.com/ONE MORE TIME FOR ALL MY WHEELCHAIR USERS!!!!Hey, I’m on mobile so this will have typos but please read @urbancripple ’s review of the Omeo. The Omeo Evolution 1 is Just a ToyThe Omeo has no straps to hold in the user, something that a person like me would really need. It can’t go over anything taller than 2 inches without 350$ worth of extra equipment (that renders it unable to go through doors). It also costs AS MUCH AS A 2007 HONDA CIVIC and isn’t even classed as a medical device, but is in the same class as a unicycle when it comes to mobility, so it won’t be covered by insurance. Urban cr*pple compares it to being a 17000$ toy. I highly encourage folks to check out the article I put together before investing in this device. All of my criticisms of the Omeo / Ogo are based on information from their own site regarding the devices features and limitations. This device is not a wheelchair. It is not a medical device. It is not a mobility aid. It’s a hip-thrust powered Segway. Nothing more. And yes, they are very aware of the review I’ve written :DOooh. Did you get a take down notice or something? The nature of their communication was not couched in any legal language. So, I’m in the clear. If you want the full story, it’s up on my Patreon :DI’ve updated the review on my site with their new (EVEN HIGHER) price tag and an updated youtube video link that shows how bananas this thing is.Seriously, this thing is just a segway throne for rich people with bad knees. -- source link
