This has been a life changing year, for us both and what remains is still, whenever you are next to me, Iam home and if there were ever a word greater than love then I would speak it of you. If there is a gift that is greater than love than I would move the heavens for it to be yours, on this and every day . Happy 76th birthday to the quiet man with the hippie soul. Still, after all these years, marching towards what is just, what is kind. Every day for the better part of your life, you walk out the kitchen door to make a difference in the world and stand for a common humanity. You have worked fiercely and tirelessly for children with disabilities and given with grace and humility. (even from a hospital bed on oxygen) Your legacy continues to grow in the family you created and into the next generation. While everyone said “no, it can’t be done”… you did it anyway. (You’re stubborn that way) And when I needed someone to believe in me, it was you alone that had faith. You are my hero. You have inspired me to be a better man in the world.
