As the year ends, I wanted to post this little compilation of dragons I’ve drawn throughout the years. All of them are a guivre/vouivre, which I’ve talked about (and drawn) a lot. No real reason in particular. It’s not really my favorite mythological dragon, but it is one I’ve drawn at least once every year since 2017 after I first read about it. Couldn’t find anything earlier than that. And thank God because everything pre-2019 is trash and I only hesitate not delete it all because I’ve gotten really dejected when artists have deleted all of their work with no warning in the past. Anyways, what does this little image tell me about how I’ve progressed as an artist? Mostly that I gave up on color and only learned how to do poses/non-profile shots in the last year. (I jest). Hopefully I can continue to improve, and maybe in 2024 I can make another one of these. Preferably not using vouivre as the subject. -- source link
