womenruleartiscool:Happy Black History Month!In honor of Black History Month I’ll be posting periodically to celebrate black women artists. To kick it off here is a sample of some of my favorites, especially Alison Saar, a prolific artist with a varied body of art but still with a very distinct style. Being both black and female puts these artists at a double disadvantage in a world where the white male is far more revered and sought after.
