“This taste is very similar to what I dreamed desserts would taste like. This is something I would never have tasted in my life of poverty.”part two of my escapades in tokyo - if any of you remember this special that i loosely translated, i took the opportunity to visit two of the places - umezono and kamiya bar! though i guess you can’t really call kamiya bar a bar bar, it was more like a cafeteria with old people getting drunk in the afternoon. denki bran has a similar consistency to jagermeisters, if anyone was curious. i’m honestly not surprised young akutagawa would get smashed with just one shot. it’s also ridiculously cheap for such potent alcohol (270 yen for a shot) umezono is a much quieter teahouse with its fair share of clientele - i had a inaka shiruko, which was baked mochi in red bean paste. delicious stuff that came at a price and set me back a little under 700 yen. they’re both pretty easy to find in the asakusa area too, so do check them out if you’re ever in the area! -- source link
