There was a communal exhalation of disgust, and the weight of the stares lightened.” - Return of the Thief [Image Description: A drawing done in colored pencil of a young man, Pheris, sat on a stool. He is looking at the viewer with a mostly vacant expression, though there is a slight smirk. He has brown, curly hair, and is sat with an awkward posture. His knees are brought together, his shoulders slumped, and his feet are sat wide apart. On the wall behind him are two maps depicted in other The Queen’s Thief books.] Queen’s Thief Appreciation Week, Day 12: Favorite Parallel: Hiding in Plain Sight Lineart by me and coloring by @thecrenellations As a follow up to our first collaboration, we decided to do a second! This time I drew lineart for Pheris and @thecrenellations drew lineart for Gen! Then we swapped and colored each other’s pictures. We chose to focus on how the two character both use other’s tendency to overlook them to their advantage, and how that not only allows them to succeed in their journeys, but also lets them find moments of rest in the wild mess that is their lives. On top of that, it is a trait they both recognize in each other and it draws them together as friends and admirers of each other’s skill. You can find the matching Gen here! And the original lineart for this is available below the cut! Keep reading -- source link
