weird-bird-headingnorth:sherlockspeare:behindtintedglass:sherlockspeare:John:It was extraordinary, it was quite extraordinary.Sherlock:That’s not what people normally say.John:What do people normally say?Sherlock:Piss off!John’s face. He is completely in awe of Sherlock and never feels shy about appraising Sherlock’s brilliancy. Sherlock is brilliant, and John is awesome. It’s kind of ironic that Sherlock Holmes, despite his being brilliant and amazing and truly one-of-a-kind, was never really known before. Probably as an obscure name among Lestrade and the others in the Yard, someone who helps out once in a while… but not really as someone who is recognized for his own merit. It’s ironic and curious and amusing how… it took an ordinary man like John Watson to come into his life, see how amazing he is, and let the world know about him. It was then, and only then, that Sherlock Holmes became known for the brilliant (and only!) consulting detective that he is. It took a very ordinary man to shine the spotlight on an extraordinary being.Sometimes I have too many feelings and I explode -- source link
