peashooter85:Francotte Model 1910 Semi Automatic Lever Action rifle,Produced by the Belgian company founded by Auguste Francotte, the Francotte Model 1910 was a truly unique design among early semi automatic rifles. The Model 1910 utilized a blow back operated semi automatic action, but was also coupled with a lever action mechanism as well. While being fed from a detachable magazine, the lever action was used to chamber the first round from whence it would fire as a semi automatic. Additionally, the semi automatic feature could be disabled making the rifle a lever action for use in states or provinces where use of semi automatics was banned for hunting. The Francotte Model 1910 was chambered in a 6mm cartridge little bigger than the .22 long rifle, and thus was marketed as a small game firearm. Few were produced. -- source link
