Sometimes you have to sacrifice a piece of yourself so another may rise. This is in accordance with the law of equivalent exchange, the key law of Acrylic Alchemy. Recently I sacrificed one of my paintings by fire so I could collect the ashes and work them into a new painting telling the story of a phoenix rising from the ashes. This is the very first painting from my new “Open Wounds” collection, “The Last First Breath." I’ve lived a lot of lives in this lifetime, but I never know which will be my last. I’ve been having a lot of visions lately, and the meaning behind them clear. Leave whatever I have here with whatever time I have left. I never know which version of me will be my last, which series will be my last, which first breath will be my last. I’m thankful for the time I have had and whatever time I may have left, however short or long. Make the most of every second you have and treat every breath as if it may be your last.Pour yourself into the pain+You can support my work at CariniArts.com -- source link
