Is it a bird, is it a plane..Giant Phallus Sculpture By Gregor Kregar Causes Public OutrageThey say everyone sees something different in clouds, but people walking through New Lynn, New Zealand, are seeing only one thing: A huge phallus floating 8 meters above their heads. The Auckland Council-commissioned public sculpture Transit Cloud has been created by Sculptor Gregor Kregar as part of a project to breathe new life into traditionally working class New Lynn. The aerial component – four aluminium mesh cloud forms – hangs over a lane linking New Lynn’s new railway and bus station with the town’s library and shopping mall.
