Bonet Electric Tower in Golden Gate Park during the California Midwinter International Exposition (1894).Designed by the French architect Leopold Bonet, this steel tower was81 metres tall and modelled after the Eiffel Tower. A spotlight wasmounted on the top level. Elevator rides to the top cost 25 cents(10 cents to the first level), and thus the tower was the fair’s bestsource of income.
