Photos from Friday’s May 14 filming location on Long Island. Some interesting things (and for those who routinely copy my posts the rest of these are my OWN observations, not those of the person who posted the photographs above, so please don’t repost them as your own without acknowledging that):- this is the day where they were looking for a caucasian girl age 1-2 to portray “one of the main actors as a child in a flashback” to work on Long Island. - The poster didn’t say where specifically on Long Island they filmed, but based on the sign post holding that “Set 2″ sign and some local knowledge, I was able to determine that the trucks in the photos were parked near the intersection of Birch Lane & Northwoods Rd in Manhasset (image from Google maps below). Doesn’t seem likely they intended for this to be Soviet-era Russia. The Maryland or Virginia suburbs of Washington DC seem more likely.-It could also be a complete coincidence, and of no significance whatsoever, but I would also like to point out that the location above is just over 1 mile away from another house that is definitely part of Red’s past (although not necessarily part of Liz’s unless Katarina brought her there at some point).- And if one wanted to get from one house to the other, you’d turn exactly in the direction that “Set 2″ arrow was pointing at the intersection of Manhasset Woods Road & Park Ave. Again, this could be a complete coincidence and “Set 1″ could have been someplace else entirely. But my radar went up when they chose Manhasset out of all the possible suburban locations in the region to film an episode that includes flashbacks. -- source link
