When my pal in Army SF CIF found out I went to DARC with absolutely no prior training as a silly-villain, he noted “that’s like learning how to drive at the Indy 500″Main lesson learned: CQB by yourself = guaranteed pwnage. You need friends and you need friends that train together. “In general” the only way to do this is with a tax base, salary, selection/vetting process etc.I’m lucky that I just happen to know enough motivated and and engaged folks in the field in my area to have a group I can practice with.My main motivation to learn CQB from the best was so that I could figure out what people actually need, and also portray it in advertising at least semi-competently. -- source link
