Last saturday i was able to send “Nikita” 8c at my homecrag. This route has always been something mythical to me as it’s the hardest route in Berdorf and doesn’t has so many repeats. The route has been bolted by Jacques Welter in 1992 and it took 20 years before the german climber Simon Plum was able to do the first ascent. Since then the route got a few more repeats from climbers like Jonas Winter ,Luis Gerhardt and Jan Hojer (and some more). I started trying this route last year but couldn’t finish it before the seasons end and i didn’t try during the whole winter. This year i only tried it a few times before i did the send! Giving it the first Lux. ascent and with it ,becoming the first climber from Lux. to climb this grade! I’m gratefull that i could share this moment with some of my friends at the crag and for all the support that i got from my friends and sponsors!
