A medieval inn that has brewed its own beer for 600 years is one of England’s most important historic sites, Tristram Hunt, director of the Victoria and Albert Museum, has claimed.Monks brewed mead on the Blue Anchors site, which became a tavern after the Dissolution of the Monasteries.
