He listened to it when he disobeyed orders and chose not to massacre the villagers on Jakku. He needed a pilot to escape, but he probably could have asked someone else. He rescued Poe because he thought it was the right thing to do. He embraced the light, literally, every time he grabbed Rey’s hand. He was commended by General Leia Organa for his bravery, courage, commitment, and strength. He fought off smugglers and monsters with Han Solo. He found the droid with the map to Luke Skywalker. He even returned to the First Order, where he was marked for death, to save Rey.Kylo felt the call to the light and he fought it. He saw his conscience as weakness and cursed it for power. He covered his compassion with darkness. He drowned love in pain. He was betrayed by one of his most promising stormtroopers. The same stormtrooper that his own parents came to know and love in a short period of time. The same stormtrooper who found the droid he was looking for. The same stormtrooper who loves and is loved by (platonically or not) the girl, the scavenger.
