theblutomato:this-is-the-kairos:hope this will clear the confusion.this is importantthis is a cissexist definition of what pansexuality meanssaying that someone’s gender ‘does not matter to you’ is actually problematic, because it’s dismissive of that person’s gender identity and expression. it’s better to say that a person’s gender identity is not a factor in a pansexual’s attraction, the same way that a person being a chef may not be a factor in your attraction to them, but is still an important part of who they are. and to say that pansexuals are attracted to all possible gender identities/expression. and tying that to genitals is cissexist! saying 'I AM PANSEXUAL SO I DON’T CARE IF YOU HAVE DICKS OR BOOBS OR ANYTHING ELSE!’ is just… not what being pansexual is about. there are plenty of people who do not factor in genitalia when they’re attracted to someone, including people who are only attracted to one gender. because genitalia =/= gender. so please don’t tie genitals to gender as that is very exclusionary to trans* people -- source link
