Acceptance. Noun. 3. agreement with or belief in an idea, opinion, or explanation.-New Oxford Dictionary. One of the greatest gifts from practicing naturism is understanding acceptance in oneself and others. This is one of the most fundamental lessons all naturists learn. Many naturists become naturists or deepen their practice by coming to a realization they are not accepting something in their lives. It could be something personal like wanting to reconnect to themselves for a better understanding of who they are. It could be external by wanting to connect with others or find an external validation for their choices. For some, it is accepting that they do want to live without clothing. When acceptance is realized, we are able work together in harmony and function better. We are open to new ideas and ways of thinking because we understand that no two people are alike or share the same opinion, idea, or explanation. We may not agree with all of them, but accepting that in ourselves and others is half the battle. Naturism is not required to achieve this level of acceptance, but it does make it easier.Text by Made in the Nude.
