I thought it was super neat that they didn’t follow the typical willowy archetype, that they were shorter than humans and kind of stocky. I don’t have anything against the elf body type in later games, I just liked how close the elves bodies were to my own. (I do really like how dwarves are portrayed, but… elves are my favourite fictional race.) -- source link
