The point is that a fetus (human, not Martian, because no one in the pro-choice community denies that a human fetus is, well, a human fetus) is neither sentient nor autonomous, and the life of the pregnant person carrying it comes first.ETA: Until life as we know it becomes some sort of extraterrestrial horror story, that wee microbe on a faraway planet will never impact anybody as much as someone physically forced to carry out a nine-month pregnancy here on Earth.
