ramenluvr:I grew up in a predominantly white town. With that, came a lot of self loathing because of the color of my skin. I never thought of myself as beautiful enough for everyone else, and due to my physical differences from my peers, I thought that I was always the ‘ugly fat black friend’ of my friend group. However, over the past few years, I’ve learned to love myself for who I am. And I’ve learned that not everyone is a size 2, with pale skin, blonde hair, and blue eyes. I love the way my skin looks when I get too much sun. I love the way my fro stands out in a crowd, and I love the way dark lipstick looks on me (like damn it looms great). And I just love the way I was born and I’m thankful for the fact that I don’t look like your typical suburban girl. -- source link
