Loowit Trail | Day 1 | 7/20/20 | 20 Miles I was excited to get out on the Loowit Trail after hearing about it earlier in the Spring. I love the Timberline Trail and the Wonderland Trail, so being able to circumnavigate Mt. St. Helens was really exciting. The trail leads you across all different types of terrain. I hiked through forests, giant boulder fields, alpine, sandy mountainside above all vegetation, silty rivers, and lava fields. The trail was hot and exposed and water was scarce but the views were spectacular. Unfortunately, I forgot my camera’s memory card, which I realized about a mile and a half into the hike.
