ahbequiet: Pictures from Saturday’s bike ride. Got cut short by a pretty gnarly tire blowout. Wahwah. We got to the turnaround point and decided to go a different way than we had come. The new way was full of terrible potholes, and my bike is quite heavy so I was going too fast to avoid the one that did my bike in. However it was not as bad as it could be, since I didn’t eat shit as well. We did have to carry/walk (well I had to) carry our bikes up a pretty good sized hill in order to get cell service to call my husband to come pick me up. It was a nice ride while it lasted. I’ll be doing that again, some nice climbing, and the downhill wasn’t so bad the second time. The first time I was just tooling around in the middle of nowhere, this was my second trip up there. I felt more confident in where I was going. -- source link
