1958 Fender Jazzmaster in Fiesta Red (or Fullerton Red if you’re feeling prototypical). I love a project that involves a ton of talented, kind people and this Jazzmaster was certainly one of those instruments. First alerted to it by @casey_vstheworld , this Jazzmaster was atypical in its found state in that some really dumb things had been done to it (fretboard falling off, inlaid with D’angelico pearl fret markers, “Jazz Master” in Sharpie on the headstock, horrendous finish), but all of the important stuff was there. Original 1958 body/neck dates? Yup. All original electronics? You got it. Crazy birdseye maple neck? Sho nuff. Tweed case? Indeed.A two year project all told, @portlandfretworks installed a new genuine Brazilian slab board and refretted the guitar, the pickguard (which had been stripped and scarred something fierce) was regrained and re-anodized, and @riggiocustomguitars finished the body and neck with a proper (non-Sharpie, mind you) decal to top it off.FIN#Fender #jazzmaster #Offsetguitars #VintageFender #PreCBS #FiestaRed (at Mike & Mike’s Guitar Bar)https://www.instagram.com/p/CM3clbxAGMU/?igshid=xt6zrmhby4a4 -- source link
