yougottaletitout:You make me weep, I wanna dieJust when you said we’d tryLovin’, touchin’, squeezin’ each other When I’m alone all by myselfYou’re out with someone else Lovin’, touchin’, squeezin’ each other Now it’s your turn girl to cry Na na na na na naNa na na na na This one’s partially BGM, and partially sang along with by Darren and Finn (the lyrics in bold) during Finn’s flashback/voice over scene. Emerald Dreams provides you with fake green grass, fake dreams, and fake feelings. Oh Carole. Honestly, the lyrics just sum up what’s going on in Carole/Darren’s romance. What is noteworthy is that Mr. Schuester is not the first man in Finn’s life to look up to. He’s also not the first man in Finn’s life to look up to, who cheats and/or leads someone on.It’s interesting because… The song speaks of a woman who betrays the singer, while it is in fact Darren who is betraying Carole: which is a similar type of blame game that Schuester likes to use. (For example: He’s the one who cheats on Emma, but when she starts dating someone else he feels like the victim because they should be together in his mind.)Which makes it even more probably that until Burt came into Finn’s life, he never really did have a decent role model. This song also shows up in Journey, where it’s mashed up with Any Way You Want It -- source link
