magicalhometoursandstuff:What a lovely British home- it’s been redone with a very sophisticated mid-century modern interior. The original old brick wall in the living room is preserved, but painted an updated white. When they renovated, they made arches where the old doorways used to be.The halls make it feel like you’re walking thru an art gallery. The kitchen is black & blue, but it’s gets lot of natural light from a large skylight. I like the little cookbook shelf.I do like the arches much better than square doorways.Mid-century modern pieces are all throughout the home- the black-painted brick walls, a wood paneled feature wall and a wicker chair all come together to make the dining room look as if it’s in a mid-century house.A mid-century vibe is also in the family room.A powder room and closet in the hallway. The wood stairs and landing have been painted green and the railings have been replaced with mid-century style wood, including a planter. The bath is large and modern. The bath is right off the master bedroom. A student’s room has a built-in study wall and a cool slatted ceiling. There’s a nice surprise behind the garage doors- it’s a gardening room with a completely glass ceiling, and it can also be accessed from inside the house.https://www.planete-deco.fr/2019/06/29/une-maison-anglaise-en-briques-au-charme-vintage-et-a-lhistoire-originale/#more-239121 -- source link
