drawlight:One of my favorite bits about Crowley’s characterization is that he questions not just for the sake of questioning, not just for the sake of rebelling, but because he truly doesn’t understand how God can structure the world in such cruel and unjust ways and then expect everyone to fare the same (and then punishes them in turn). Crowley’s moral compass has perhaps never lined up with Heaven’s but it’s always been there and has always been steady and always finely-tuned.He Fell. And he might be bitter about the whole thing and it may have hurt and yeah, he didn’t mean to. He didn’t intend to (just hanging around Lucifer and the guys, asking those questions he’s stuffed too full with). But he also has no interest in Heaven, no interest in any redemption from them up there, these angels that he has no respect for. He knows far too well what they’re like. -- source link
