legionofpotatoes: “Finn’s Journey” by Lazare Gvimradze While I adored the entire cast of The Force Awakens, (and yes, Rey is my absolute favorite ever) Finn was by far the winner in terms of relatability and a tangible, visceral sense of character growth. He was a number, kidnapped and abused into labor by an unstoppable force. He began with fear, desperation, and deceit to work towards an act of cowardice; but through his struggle to flee he found friendship, purpose, courage, and a name. Through his courage he stood up to the most powerful of his abusers and held his ground. He grew both from his flaws and from his strengths, and that’s something I don’t see every day in blockbuster movies. I believe Finn will be as huge of an inspiration to little boys as Rey will be to girls. Had to devote a piece to my favorite stormtrooper. Sorry spinny. Prints, shirts and such. -- source link
