Reichstag Building @ Berlin, Germany by Avisekh Nikon D850 Nikon AF-S NIKKOR 14-24MM F/2.8G ED 2:1 Panoramic image with 6 vertical images stitched together in PTGui. This is an interesting building with several controversy of being burned down by Hitler on 1933. Even though it was proven that it was actually burned down by the communist party. Who will know the truth! Anyway, the point is that the same building is now used as the “Bundestag”, the German parliament. This is a very interesting building and in fact the Berlin itself is a very interesting city. Definitely one of the pinnacles of Europe. Now, regarding this picture. As I did most of the day I stayed in Berlin, I went out early when it was still dark and tried to capture a panoramic image of the famous Reichstag. The security is tight there. I was questioned twice by police about what I am doing there and why I am taking pictures. I explain them and in fact showed them the picture. One of them in fact asked me where I come from and what camera I am using etc. It could be just curiosity or a way to politely interrogator to understand if there is a threat. In fact it was not threatening for me at all; instead I felt safe that the authority is keeping and eye. Now this was not the first time a police man approached me while photographing. It happened to me in many places before as well. Pretty normal if someone goes out at abnormal time with a camera and photograph the parliament! Eventually after setting up the panorama plate and all; I waited a bit for the right light and managed to capture this image. I did process it with a normal straight view and also kept this cylindrical view. I kind of like this one more than the normal view as it looks a bit different even though very distorted; I feel this is more artistic than the one that has a standard look.
