copperbadge:NaClYoHo day four! Before and after photos don’t work particularly well for me, because my messiness is strange and specific, but here are some pictures of the work I did.I really needed to do my laundry, but doing one’s laundry is a lot of “waiting for the machine to finish”. So I put on a podcast, started the laundry, and then inbetween changing loads, I did some minor but vital work. Not pictured are the three poster tubes full of posters I sorted through; the ones I want to keep I tucked under some plexi on the dining room table so they can flatten out. The Cryptids’ favorite toy in the whole wide world is this stupid cardstock box that I don’t even know the origin of, but they’ve loved it so much it’s started to go at the seams, so first order of business was to reinforce it with tape. Then I decided that my plant windowsill needed some attention, so I went to town: I pruned and staked the big red bucket planter, moved the succulent and basil from the green shelf planter to their own individual pots, and (much overdue) uprooted the ivy and took clippings to start some new plants from the old dying one. That last photo is just my “harvest” – basil leaves from one of the basil plants and a pepper from the paprika plant. To everyone who asked if my planter had a tentacle: of course not. IT HAS THREE. FYI I couldn’t get a picture of it, but Dearborn is ten billion percent done with all this bullshit. After I removed the bucket from her access she spent the entire evening in Loaf Format on the orange sofa, glaring at me.I’m working my way along the wall, basically, so tomorrow’s task is to tidy the workbench, clean out the “shit that needs to be Crafted” bucket, and do some mending and sewing. Also I need to dry the basil and slice and dry the paprika. Mmm, tomorrow’s gonna smell good. -- source link
