astronomy-to-zoology:Red Shoveler (Anas platalea)…a species of dabbling duck that is native to southern South America, ranging from southern Peru, Bolivia, south-eastern Brazil and Paraguay south to Tierra del Fuego. Like other shovelers red shovelers inhabit fresh and brackish water, and is typically seen in ponds, lakes, marshes, estuaries and lagoons.
