If you’re going to set up a Nativity, you shouldn’t downplay. A plain block or ball won’t help you to connect with the event spiritually. What you could do instead is help support poor artists who carve nativities by hand. Not only are you saving money from over the top displays you might see, but you’re helping people in need AND enriching your spiritual life.
