Palmiers Ingredients: Ready-made Puff Pastry Approx. 1 cup White Sugar Instructions: Let the puff pastry thaw for about 25 minutes. Meanwhile, preheat oven to 450˚ and prepare your work surface with approximately a ½ cup of sugar. Roll out the pastry on top of the sugared surface. Once the dough has been mostly spread out, cover the dough with the rest of the sugar. Continue rolling. The idea is to press as much sugar into the dough as possible. Fold the sides in one inch at a time, then fold both sides together like closing a book. Slice the roll into 1" increments and arrange them on parchment paper, cut side up. Bake for about 6-8 minutes, or until the sugar on the bottom of the cookies starts to caramelize. Turn them over and bake for another 6-8 minutes.
